Chelsea showed Legia a place in a row. Football lesson in Warsaw

Chelsea zwycięska w Warszawie

There was no surprise in Thursday’s quarter -finals of the Conference League. Legia Warsaw lost to London Chelsea 0: 3.

The team from Warsaw can only be satisfied with the first 45 minutes, looking only at the result. The results board had a goalless draw and one could hope that the Polish team would be tempted to surprise in a clash with the club from England.

The second part of the meeting, however, showed who was and is a definite favorite – not only in the context of the two -legged one with Legia – but also winning in the entire league of the conference league.

Conference League: Legia Warsaw lost high to Chelsea

Warsaw residents approached the quarter -finals of the League of Conference in a strongly weakened composition. Coach Goncalo Feio could not benefit, among others from Artur Jędrzejczyk, Captain Bartosz Kapustka or striker Marc Guala. It was in the case of a clash with such a class rival that absences were insurmountable.

Chelsea came to Warsaw with respect to his rival, but also by the awareness of her power. The English did not start in the strongest statement, wanting to find out a bit what will happen on the pitch. As it turned out, although in the first half the visitors did not impress, in the second 45 minutes they could calmly look forward to the final whistle.

Legia only had individual breaks, trying to threaten his rivals – in the first part. When Chelsea had one, then a few -penal lead, Warsaw residents also had further situations. However, they could not be used, put the ball into the net at least once.

It is worth noting a penalty shot defended by Kacper Tobiasz in the second part of the game. Well, however, since after a while, Chelsea got its way and though not through the whip, literally a few seconds later with 0: 2 it got 0: 3.

The rematch in London seems to be a formality for the Premier League club. Legionaries will certainly want to try to fight for dreams. The Polish team cannot be taken away, although these are certainly not too great – after Thursday’s result at the stadium at Łazienkowska Street.

Speaking of the facility, Legia supporters traditionally stood at a height. In the stands, the atmosphere was worthy of the quarter -finals of the European Cup. It remains to congratulate that the Warsaw club has in this respect really what and who to boast of.
