Cheap travel for the holidays. A special offer for residents of the largest Polish voivodeship
Residents of Mazovia can take advantage of a unique Christmas offer. Koleje Mazowieckie has extended the possibility of purchasing a “trip ticket”.
This year, Koleje Mazowieckie has prepared a gift for its passengers. On the occasion of the upcoming holidays, the validity of the “trip ticket” has been extended. Residents of Mazovia can benefit from reduced fares from Christmas Eve until December 29 inclusive, visiting unique towns and villages in the largest voivodeship in Poland. However, the promotion is not without limitations. Those who plan to travel directly from Warsaw will not use it.
Travel with Koleje Mazowieckie on holidays
Longer days off mean more opportunities to travel, which don’t always have to be difficult. Regardless of whether we are going to visit family or this time we are simply taking advantage of additional leave to see new places, we can look for low ticket prices on the Koleje Mazowieckie website. The regional carrier has just announced that during the upcoming holidays, passengers will be able to enjoy discounts on the “cruise ticket” offer for longer than usual. How does this promotion work? “On the basis of a sightseeing ticket, you can travel on Koleje Mazowieckie trains for a distance of up to 200 km. The validity period of a tour ticket, regardless of the distance, is one day. The trip must be completed by 24:00 of the ticket validity period,” we read on the carrier’s website. The “excursion ticket” can be used for one-way tickets as well as for round-trip offers.
Not for Warsaw residents
The distance of up to 200 kilometers is not the only limitation. The “excursion ticket” is not valid in the first zone of Koleje Mazowieckie, i.e. at all Warsaw stations. Residents of the capital will have to pay a bit more for a trip to Płock or Kutno. These two towns – one located in the Masovian Voivodeship and the other in the Łódź Voivodeship – are some of the most interesting places you can visit using the KM connection network. In both towns you will find atmospheric markets with historic baroque tenement houses and a medieval street layout.
