Changes in Donald Tusk’s government. There is a new deputy minister. “The goals are ambitious!”

Prime Minister Donald Tusk, at the request of the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk, on October 15, 2024, appointed Michał Jaros as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology. Jaros’s nomination is intended to strengthen this ministry.
Who is Michał Jaros?
Michał Jaros, born in 1983, is a graduate of the University of Economics in Wrocław, where he graduated in 2006. Already during his studies, he showed interest in local and economic politics, which translated into his further professional career. In 2006-2007, he served as a councilor of the Wrocław City Council, gaining experience in managing local affairs.
His political career gained momentum when he won a parliamentary seat in the 2007 parliamentary elections. Since then, he has been a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, serving in the subsequent terms of office of the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Sejm.
In the current term (X) he serves as vice-chairman of the Extraordinary Committee for flood prevention activities and removing the effects of the 2024 flood, which is one of the key elements of the government’s strategy in the event of future climate crises. Additionally, Jaros is a member of the Economy and Development Committee and the Public Finance Committee, which makes him a person perfectly versed in economic and technological issues.
From 2021, Michał Jaros also serves as the chairman of the Lower Silesian Region of the Civic Platform.
Joros himself decided to refer to his calling in a comment on the X platform.
– It was with great honor that I accepted the nomination for the position of Deputy Minister of Development and Technology. It is a great honor, but even greater responsibility and commitment to intense work. We start working immediately. There are many new challenges ahead of me. The goals are ambitious! – wrote the new deputy minister.
