Changes at gas stations from July 20. This is what drivers will pay

The past week was marked by price increases at gas stations. Unfortunately, experts predict a continuation of this trend.

– In mid-July, the retail fuel market saw a sharp increase in fuel prices. Refueling costs are rising significantly in response to disturbing reports from the Middle East, where the conflict has escalated and US-Iranian military operations have resumed – emphasize e-petrol.pl analysts.

Last week, refineries were dominated by strong increases, which resulted in wholesale prices of 95-octane gasoline currently at the highest level since 2022. On Friday, the average price of this fuel reached PLN 5,782/cubic meter and is PLN 282 higher than a week ago. A cubic meter of diesel oil has increased in price by as much as PLN 486 over the course of a week and is currently valued at an average of PLN 6,256. The last time diesel was this expensive in refineries was at the beginning of May this year.

Unfortunately, fuel prices at stations also increased. The popular “95” has gone up by 21 groszy over the course of the week, and diesel oil by 26 groszy. In the middle of last week, a liter of Pb95 cost on average PLN 6.99 in Poland, while for diesel fuel people paid an average of PLN 7.19/l. The downward trend was maintained only by autogas, which has been getting cheaper continuously for 12 weeks. Its price dropped by 3 groszy and amounted to PLN 3.17/l.

Observing the above, many drivers certainly remember with nostalgia the Lower Fuel Prices (CPN) package that expired two weeks ago. On the last day of its operation, “95” cost PLN 6/l, and diesel PLN 6.19/l, i.e. one zloty less.
