Cenckiewicz about ordering pizza to TV Republika. He indicated a possible mechanism of action

Former head of the National Security Bureau, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, announced that he had conducted his own “initial counterintelligence reconnaissance” regarding night calls and fake pizza orders. The case is related to reports of harassment of journalists from TV Republika.

Cenckiewicz: I learned the mechanism of orders for the headquarters of TV Republika

On Sunday morning, Cenckiewicz described on social media a situation that, according to him, had previously happened to people associated with TV Republika. These involve late-night phone calls and text messages related to alleged food orders.

A few hours later, the former head of the National Security Bureau published another entry in which he presented his own interpretation of the entire situation.

“I have my own private preliminary counterintelligence reconnaissance of the pizza ordering mechanism. I have learned about several cases targeting TV Republika employees in recent days. But I have also learned about my own… — wrote on X.

Cenckiewicz: My phone number has been displayed in the database

Cenckiewicz claims that the person placing the order was to use his telephone number without consent. As he described, the delivery was sent not to his private address, but to the headquarters of TV Republika at Plac Bankowy in Warsaw.

“Well, the provocateur who called for a pizza yesterday did it in such a way that my phone number was displayed in the order database, he ordered a delivery to Plac Bankowy 2 (…) and the ordering party impersonated the name and surname of a close associate of Mr. Sławomir Mentzen” – he said.

According to Cenckiewicz, the order for the Republika TV headquarters was canceled after about an hour due to delivery problems. This was to result in attempts to contact us by phone after hours. 2 a.m.

Cenckiewicz on the case of Republic employees: Someone has a database of private addresses

The former head of the National Security Bureau estimated that all similar cases concerned the Republika TV environment and were carried out at similar night hours.

“In any case, someone who does all this thinks – connects people, threads, addresses, has a database of addresses, including private ones, and telephone numbers of many people” — wrote Cenckiewicz, announcing that he would submit a report to the services.

Earlier, Sławomir Mentzen reported that his office’s telephone number was to be used to place false orders to TV Republika employees. According to the politician, there were also reports of alleged threats that resulted in police interventions.

Karol Nawrocki also commented on the matter and said that similar actions may pose a threat to media freedom.

In turn, the current head of the National Security Bureau, Bartosz Grodecki, asked Minister Marcin Kierwiński for information on the services’ activities. Kierwiński replied that the police only responded to reports of possible threats to life, and the thesis about “harassment of TV Republika journalists” was untrue in his opinion.
