Polish athletes can improve the country’s position in the Olympic medal table

This means that this may be the last time we see Poland in such a low position in the Olympic ranking. The Polish team is currently in 53rd position with four medals – one silver and three bronze. The Poles are ahead of, among others, North Korea, Dominica, Bahrain, Guatemala, Uganda and Saint Lucia.

The United States is still in the lead, fiercely competing with China for the title of the world’s first team. The Americans already have 86 medals (24 gold), their biggest rivals 59 (22 gold). Australia also jumped onto the podium with 14 gold medals (35 in total), knocking off the hosts of the games, France. The top ten also includes Great Britain, South Korea, Japan, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany with 17 medals (8 gold).
