Bypasses and expressways. GDDKiA lists the latest contracts

Construction of bypasses of several cities, 30 km of expressway connecting Ostrów Wielkopolski with Kępno, contract for the preparation of design documentation for 13 km of the last exit from the capital, which does not yet have the status of an expressway – these are the latest activities of GDDKiA.
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informs that it is currently implementing 101 tasks from the Government Program for the Construction of National Roads, which will last until 2030. The plan is to build roads with a total length of 1,443.4 km and a value of nearly PLN 60 billion. At this stage, there are also 22 investments from the Program for the construction of 100 bypasses for 2020-2030, with a total length of 176.2 km and a value of approximately PLN 3.2 billion.
Agreements signed for implementation in 2024.
The approaching end of the year is a time for summing up.
“Since the beginning of the year, in accordance with the planned plan, we have been successively signing subsequent contracts for the construction of new sections of national roads. Since the beginning of the year, we have signed 33 contracts for tasks with a total length of nearly 430 km and a value of just over PLN 16 billion. Most of the contracts concluded since the beginning of the year (25 to be exact) concern expressways with a total length of nearly 380 km and a value of over PLN 15 billion. The remaining eight are investments in bypasses with a length of over 53 km and a value of nearly PLN 1.2 billion. The number of signed contracts will increase even before the end of the year,” informs GDDKiA.

In the latest announcement, GDDKiA lists contracts concluded after the holidays and announced tenders.

On September 16, a tender was announced for the construction of the Jasło bypass along DK73 (Podkarpackie Voivodeship)

On September 25, a tender was announced for three new investments in the Szczecin area: stage II of the Przecław and Warzymice bypass on DK13 (new Szczecin Zachód junction on the A6 motorway), the Kołbaskowo bypass on DK13 and the construction of road infrastructure on the border section of A6.

On September 30, an application for a decision on the permit for the implementation of a road investment (ZRID) was submitted for all three sections of the Western Bypass of Szczecin with a total length of 48.9 km, with a tunnel under the Oder of 5 km. Once built, it will be the longest such facility in Poland.

The next tender announced on September 25 is the construction of 30 km of the S11 Ostrów Wielkopolski-Kępno expressway (in the Greater Poland Voivodeship).

On September 30, the Łomża bypass was made available to drivers. In this way, the entire S61 expressway is passable, and cumbersome transit has been removed from the city center. The Łomża bypass in the dual carriageway “Eska” standard will be ready in the third quarter of next year.

On October 1, the tender for the construction of the Kamionna bypass along DK24 was opened.

On October 2, an agreement was signed for the preparation of design documentation for 13 km between Kiełpin (from Łomianki) and the Home Army Route in Warsaw. This is the last main exit from the capital that does not yet have the status of an expressway.

On October 10, a contract was signed for the design and construction of 19 km of the S17 expressway from the Krasnystaw junction to the Izbica junction. This is the sixth of nine sections between Piaski and Hrebenne to be completed.

·On October 11, a contract was signed for the construction of the Kroczyce bypass along DK78 in the province. Silesian. The new bypass, which will be an extension of the route bypassing Poręba and Zawiercie, should be passable in April 2027.
