Budget draft for 2026 adopted. Tusk: “We say goodbye to Pisowska Drożyczna”

During today’s meeting, the government adopted a draft budget for 2026. According to the assumptions adopted to the project of next year’s budget, the real increase in GDP in 2026 is to amount to 3.5 percent, and the average annual inflation will be at 3 %, with the forecast salary by 6.4 percent. At the end of next year, registered unemployment is 4.9 percent. The forecast income is estimated at PLN 647 billion, and the budget deficit is to amount to PLN 271.1 billion, which is 6.5 percent. “We say goodbye to Pisowska Parżyczna”
– This is a breakthrough budget. We often use such worries that this is a record budget in many respects, and we also do not hide that it is a difficult budget. This very ambitious program that will cause Poland to take another great civilization step is a program, where we took really serious risks, we did not hesitate, we were not afraid to propose such a budget construction, where everything is really high – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at the beginning of the government meeting.
Referring to the forecast inflation, the head of government emphasized that we are saying goodbye to “Piszska Parżyczna”. – High inflation is the daily boring of every Polish family, so it has been so for years. Today we are finally saying goodbye to Pisowska’s puff. We have arranged the state budget, where inflation is one of the lower in Europe and we achieved 3 percent. inflation – said the prime minister.

Tusk with a high deficit
Referring to the Tusk deficit, he said: – We know well and none of us hid it that we spend a lot of money. Ladies and gentlemen, no one will be interested that we have a high deficit, too high for me to be happy if the war continues to roll. We will not defend the Polish border with a low deficit, we will defend the Polish border with a modern, great army.
The government plans to spend PLN 200 billion on defense in 2026, which will be 4.8 percent. GDP.
