Boniek praises the new team coach. “Players will be fine with him”

Jan Urban i Zbigniew Boniek

Everything indicates that Jan Urban will be the new coach of the Polish national team. In an interview with Interia Sport, Zbigniew Boniek complimented the Polish trainer.

When asked to assess Jan Urban, Zbigniew Boniek stipulated that it is still unknown whether he would actually lead the Polish team in football. He also added that we will only know the first answers only after the September matches.

Zbigniew Boniek praised Jan Urban

– However, I can definitely say that I have only a positive opinion about him. He is a good man, and you always work well with good people. The competitors will be fine with him. Janek knows his value, but it shows it in a slightly different way than Michał Prdyk – noted the former president of PZPN.

– He will definitely surprise with the team or set up the team, but he will not surprise the suits. He sees the world differently from its predecessor, it looks different. I wish him with all my heart to go well, although the situation is difficult. Ultimately, he will not go out on the field and he will not have to score goals – he reserved.

– In Górnik Zabrze he could do something out of nothing – every season they sold half a team, and the new one, built from scratch, always looked good. However, as you know, the work of the coach is something other than the work of a coach in the club – noted Boniek.

Boniek: A lot of work before the new team coach

There was a Polish representative admitted that there is a lot to be done in the national team. He began to emphasize that arrival at the national team is not coming to rest. – It takes a little more discipline and awareness that we gathered in this hotel to sign up in the history of Polish football, by the way giving a little joy to people – he emphasized.

At the same time, Boniek stated that “the ball is a simple game” and there is nothing to deal with the composition of the future coach’s staff. He also admitted that he never had to hire Jan Urban because “there was no proper timing.”

“And I didn’t really think, but maybe because when I was looking for a selector, Janek had something different on his head, he was never free,” he said. He also told about how he chose the selectors himself. He was guided by his own vision and did not make castings.

Boniek: Urban can handle it

The former president of PZPN agreed that it was necessary to start by cleaning the atmosphere around the national team. – Players have enough people. I don’t want to throw names, but leading some behind -the -scenes games never serves the good of the team – he said.

– The team must be tight, nothing can leave it, but I don’t want to move it anymore. Janek can handle it. He has a nice face, but he is not soft and does not like when someone around him turns – he added.
