Blessing of vehicles, Ikea bed and cancelled delivery. Intervention of "Wprost"

The furniture delivery guy was practically at the customer’s block, but when he saw that there was a problem with the street, he cancelled the order and went on. When Ms. Monika suggested that he use another street, he replied that she was not the only customer and that he would not change his daily schedule for her. We asked the Ikea press office whether the delivery guy should not have shown good will and tried to fulfill the order. The effect exceeded our expectations.

Ms. Monika from the Silesian metropolitan area ordered a bunk bed from Ikea with a delivery option. The date was set for Sunday – it was the only day she could pick up the order without having to take time off or involve a family member.

The furniture supplier turned around 300 meters before the target

– I pointed out that I can’t have any delays because my son won’t have anything to sleep on, and besides, I can’t wait for the delivery guy on working days, especially since he indicates a fairly long time frame in which he can arrive, so in fact I have to be at home for half a day – says Ms. Monika in an interview with Wprost.

On the agreed day she was waiting for the delivery guy, but he never showed up: he called to say he wouldn’t be there because he couldn’t get across the street, so he was canceling the delivery.

– It’s true, there was a blessing of vehicles, which meant that the road the delivery driver had planned to use was closed for a dozen or so minutes. There was a different way to get to my estate, all I had to do was change the settings on my navigation system. It’s a matter of good will and a minimum of effort – the reader reports.
