On Sunday, March 16, the inhabitants of the newly established Grabówka commune in Podlasie chose their head of the commune for the first time. This unit was created from the part of the current Supraśl commune.

Five candidates took part in the election. He applied for the position, among others Tomasz Frankowskiwho started from his own committee but had the support of the Civic Coalition.

His main rival was Katarzyna Todorczuk, who could count in the election campaign, among others to support the disco-polo star Zenek Martyniuk, leader of the Akcent Group. Interestingly, the politician also obtained the support of PO politicians: Robert Tyszkiewicz and Andrzej Halicki.

A former star of the Polish football team and the former KO MEP cannot, however, include a start in elections to successful. Tomasz Frankowski took third place. Only 15.72 percent convinced himself. voters.

The new head of the Grabówka commune will be – according to the information provided by the National Electoral Commission – Katarzyna Todorczuk. The politician started from her own committee, our commune Grabówka and strongly defeated their rivals with 53.5 percent. votes.

– This is the success of all residents of our commune, who worked for its creation, separation from the Supraśl commune. It shows how strong social ties connect us here – said the politician after the announcement of the election results.

The former deputy mayor of Supraśl came second Marcin Iwaniukwhich was supported by 18.73 percent voters. In the commune council, candidates from the Katarzyna Teodorczuk committee will have a lot of advantage – they won as many as 12 out of 15 seats. Tomasz Frankowski will have two representatives and Marcin Iwaniuk one.
