“Beer train” will soon go to the tracks. We know ticket prices
A special “beer train” will go on the track this fall. Passengers will reach it straight to the famous Oktoberfest in Bavaria.
Summer is slowly ending, and this means that the famous Bavarian Oktoberfest is fast approaching. Poles can reach Munich with a direct connection of PKP Intercity from Warsaw and Krakow. However, this journey certainly will not provide such emotions as the Espresso Monaco journey. A train setting out from Rome will guarantee passengers a foretaste of a beer festival on board. Only two courses are planned, and ticket prices with a seat start from 99 euros.
Beer train from Rome to Munich
Consuming alcoholic beverages on a train board is usually only allowed in a gastronomic wagon. This unusual train from Rome to Munich is an exception, however, because the event spreads all over the deck at the beginning of the journey. I am talking about Espresso Monaco, a train served by the Italian company FS Trenia Turistichi Itlani.
The night trip with a night warehouse lasts sixteen hours and includes “entertainment in a Bavarian style” – so there will be a freshly fallen beer, a menu with German delicacies and of course dance. The composition also stops, among others in Verona, Trent, Bolzano and Brennero.
Only two courses
Tourists interested in this journey must, however, hurry with ticket booking. The number of places is significantly limited, because there are only two courses to choose from. Trains will leave the station in Rome at 20:00 on Friday, September 26 and a week later, on September 26. Return courses are planned both on Saturday and Sunday.
How much does such a journey cost? As for the length of the route, ticket prices are really affordable. We will get the basic seating place at a price from 99 euros per person, and we can still buy a couchette or bedroom wagon. Of course, beer and all meals on board are additionally paid.
