Bartosz Gomułka, a student of MOS Wola Warszawa, has been associated with PGE Projekt Warszawabut only since this season has he been regularly defending the colors of the capital club.

– Bartek is one of the greatest talents of his generation, so we have been watching him practically since the junior games. Being called up to the extremely strong senior national team is not a coincidence. He is a great player with huge potential, who will make even greater progress in the coming years, said Piotr Gacek, sports director of PGE Projekt Warszawa.

The 24-year-old is fighting for a place in the starting lineup with Linus Weber. Although the German attacker has been playing very unevenly this season and his form is far from what the Warsaw fans are accustomed to, Bartosz Gomułka most often loses the competition.

During the times of coach Tommie Tiilikainen, he appeared on the pitch mainly as part of a double shift with Michał Kozłowski. Under the leadership of the new duo of coaches, Kamil Nalepka and Bartosz Kaczmarek, the volleyball player gets a chance to play more often.

His former coach, Konrad Cop, emphasized the young attacker’s great progress. – Already in MOS, he was distinguished by a wide range of attacking moves and range. Plus a great block: Mateusz Rećko had a similar block among the attackers I worked with. Bartek was able to stop his opponent in a one-on-one situation on the net. It is also visible that in recent years he has gained strength and muscle mass. He has matured as a volleyball player, and I think he has also improved his serving, he said.

Many volleyball fans see the 24-year-old as Bartosz Kurek’s successor in the national team. The player himself approaches his career with humility. – The media often blows up various topics. There were quite a lot of these potential successors to Kurek. Even one very good season doesn’t really mean anything. To be like Bartosz Kurek, you have to play great throughout your career and, at least in my case, there’s still a long way to go. That’s why I approach all this calmly, he said.

Bartosz Gomułka has already made his debut in the Polish national team – in 2025 he played during the Silesia Cup tournament against Ukraine. – Coach Nikola Grbic wants everything in every action to be perfect, down to the smallest inch.
