Bartosz Kurek is an absolute record holder! Team supporters can be proud

You don’t have to convince anyone about how much a character for Polish volleyball is for Polish volleyball. A multimedist who remembers success – both slightly further (e.g. the gold medal of the 2009 European Championships or winning in the 2012 World League) – and more contemporary, will again be one of the most important figures of the team.

Kurek has played so far at events in the years 2010, 2018, 2022 and in a moment he will probably add a performance at the AD 2025 event. Interestingly, “Kuraś” left the party in 2014, also Golden for Poles. At that time, the selector Stephane Antiga focused on a different solution, and the team joined, among others long -awaited Mariusz Wlazły.

However, this does not change the fact that after the reform from FIVB/Volleyball World, Kurek can jump over all the listed. Another World Championships in 2027, and the host will be Poland, so who knows, maybe the head of the so -called Bald Gang, will lead his team once again. The more so because the issue of a chance for the performance of Kurek during the Olympic tournament in Los Angeles was often raised. Although this is a very optimistic scenario, it is not impossible at all – and we are talking about 2028.

Volleyball World Cup: When will the Polish national team play their matches?

It is worth recalling that the tournaments of the World Cup in the 21st century are particularly successful for Polish volleyball players. Poland won two silver (2006 and 2022) and two gold medal (2014 and 2018). During the tournament in the Philippines, the Polish team will be included in the group of candidates for the final triumph.

Even more so after the recent gold VNL 2025. The second in the history of the League of Nations, previously Poles won in 2023. Plus, you should remember about the “predecessor” of VNL, i.e. the League of Nations, in which Poland won in the 2012 edition.

What is the exact schedule of Poles’ matches?

Polish volleyballers at the upcoming World Cup will play in group B. The opponents of Poles will be Romania (September 13, Saturday, 15:30), Qatar (September 15, Monday, 15:30) and the Netherlands (September 17, Wednesday, Wednesday, 12:00).

The cup phase, i.e. at the beginning of the 1/8 finals, will start on Saturday, September 20.
