On Saturday evening, Bartosz Kurek was a guest at Kanał Zero. The meeting with Krzysztof Stanowski lasted almost three hours, and “Stano” assessed it clearly.
Bartosz Kurek is the captain of the Polish national team, who returned to PlusLiga after a few years of break, signing a contract with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. It is difficult to find a volleyball player with a bigger name in Poland. “Kuraś” is already a legend.

On Sunday, the host and creator of Kanał Zero shared his thoughts on Instagram after meeting “Kuraś”. As you can see, Stanowski was also pleased with the invitation of the team captain to the studio.
“This conversation was extremely pleasant and inspiring. If I were to have a captain in my life, I would like it to be Bartosz Kurek. Now I better understand why volleyball players are where they are and football players are elsewhere. This athlete’s self-awareness, maturity and class are simply on a different level. You can even dislike volleyball (I’m not saying I don’t like it, I’m just not interested in it) and be delighted with listening to Kurek. Watch!” – wrote Stanowski, attaching a photo with Kurek.

Interestingly, during “Zero Hour” there was information about Kurek’s breakup with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The attacker did not hide his slight bitterness, but also clearly stated his current contract situation.
– I think I would like to play three more good seasons. I don’t know if in Poland. I don’t have a contract for next season. I have no contacts for next season at ZAKS. This information has not appeared yet, but we are in talks with my manager. We are looking for a new club (…) I think the volleyball community already knew about this. This is one of the things that require a very quick change in our volleyball environment. That is, rumors spreading, some information on Twitter. I would prefer certain information to be provided quickly and officially, the famous volleyball player admitted in a conversation with Stanowski.
So what will be Kurek’s club future? It’s hard to say for sure. It is not impossible that the player will remain in PlusLiga. It seems that “Kuraś” still has something to offer in terms of sports.
