Bad news on Hubert Hurkacz. Sad information from the Netherlands
Hubert Hurkacz played one match in the Dutch S-Hertogenbosch. The Pole on Thursday afternoon withdrew from the ATP 250 tournament.
The best Polish tennis player on Wednesday was won by Roberto Bautista-aguta. An experienced Spaniard lost to the Pole on grassy courts in the Netherlands in two sets 6: 7 (2), 4: 6.
Unfortunately, in the second party, the Wrocław resident suffered a back injury, which was visible by keeping Hurkacz on the court. The Pole played the meeting, but as reported on Thursday, the player will not approach the next duel in S-Hertogenbosch.
In the last dozen or so months, Wrocław has been struggling with various health problems. Unfortunately, an example from the Netherlands is part of a longer list of troubles on Hurkacz’s account. The Pole is 28 years old and this traumatic frequency can be very disturbing, in a broader context of his career.

It seemed that the tennis player from Wrocław has the worst on him when he returned to playing in this part of the calendar in which earth courts dominate. Hurkacz first reached the quarter -finals of the tournament in Rome (ATP 1000), and then improved the final competition in Geneva (ATP 250). In the latter case, the Pole was worse with just a few balls than the legend of Novak Djokovic.
Hurkacz was completely unsuccessful during the Grand Slam Roland Garros. In Paris, the draw was not very favorable for a Pole who lost after a one -sided clash, in three sets, with great talent Brazilian Joao Fonsca. The resident of the Wrocław did not appear on the court from this defeat, but there was no need for it, because after the Great Slam in Paris actually starts playing on the grass.
However, it is already known that in this, perhaps favorite part of the year, Hurkacz has health problems again. The Pole will probably want to show his good side during Wimbledon. It was in London, almost equally a year ago, that he suffered a serious knee injury, which crossed, among others His participation in the Olympic Games.
May the back problems, thanks to which Hurkacz already left tournaments in the 2025 season, do not prove so serious.
