Bad news for Nikola Grbic. The Polish national team is injured!

The host of the Polish national team did not appear on the pitch in the Final Four semi-final, held on May 16-18 at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. Polish fans from “our” players could only observe Wassima Ben Tara. It is worth adding that the volleyball player Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia is also Łukasz Usowicz. This last whole meeting, like “Semen”, watched only as a reserve role.

Why did Semeniuk not actually appear on the pitch? All thanks to the unexpected injury, which the Polish volleyball player has gained in recent days. This can exclude a Pole from any performance during the Final Four in Łódź.

– Unfortunately, the accident happened last Saturday, on the last training before a free day. Literally in the last minutes of training I pulled the calf, torn out. We fight against time. I was available when it comes to party, I tried to jump gently. Everything is agreed with the medical staff so as not to push your legs so quickly. Theoretically, I would need two weeks, we are only halfway, but everything goes very well and is under control. I hope that on Sunday I will be able to help the team more if the situation requires it – said Semeniuk, quoted by the retina zone.

“Semen” was to surprise with his injury also the coach of the Polish national team. Nikola Grbić appeared in Łódź to observe the Italian-Turkish clash. Serb is quite nearby, because in Spała, during the ongoing grouping of the Polish team. Perhaps it will be possible to use Semeniuk only in a few weeks.

This is not good news also for Polish supporters. Interestingly, in the absence of Semeniuk, the Italian team won in the Friday semi -final with Halkbank Ankara 3: 0. Volleyball Champions League: Polish club again at the top of Europe?

It is worth recalling that in the last four finals of the volleyball players (counting from edition 2021), the team from PlusLiga hosted each time. ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle won the title of the best club team in Europe three times. In addition, in the case of installments 2023, there was a “Polish” finale in which the Kędzierzyn in Turin played Jastrzębski Węgiel in five emotional sets.

A year ago (2024) the hawks stood in front of Italian Trentino. Itas broke the dominance of Polish teams, winning the 3: 0 final. It is already known for sure that the replay with the participation of the PlusLiga team in the LM final will repeat itself again. It so happens that on Saturday (i.e. May 17) there will be a “Polish” clash in Łódź. Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel will compete in the semi -final.
