Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in great shape! There is a promotion to the CEV Cup final

A bit in the background of the rematch in the quarter -finals of the Champions League and the Challenge Cup final with the participation of Bogdanka Luk Lublin, Rzeszów on Wednesday played a rematch with the French Tours VB. Although in the first match Asseco Resovia won “only” 3: 2, there was no doubt in the rematch who deserved more to the final.

The key was the opening set, in which visitors from Poland managed to pull the hosts almost a decided party. Eventually it ended at 30:28 for Asseco Resovia, then 25:20 and 25:22. The French rival cannot be denied ambition, another very good performance was recorded by, among others Ryan Sclala – Leader of the Tours VB offensive. It was not enough, however, to realistically think about eliminating the defenders of the title.

MVP of the match was chosen by the guests Gregor Ropret. There was also a sad accent, namely the renovated injury of the assistant to Asseco Resovia and the Polish national team, Bartosz Bednorz. The volleyball player spent two sets on the pitch.

Asseco Resovia additionally added, apart from victory, another accent to the more and more respect of a series of winnings. Rzeszów, counting all the games in which they currently participate, won 16 matches in a row. Last failure? On January 6 with Barkkom, all Lviv, at home – 2: 3. It was the only defeat of the team in 2025. Since then, Asseco Resovia has won everywhere and with everyone.
