Aryna Sabalenka sent a bright signal of Iga Świątek. Surprising scenes on the court
WTA ranking leader with promotion to the third round of Wimbledon. Aryna Sabalenka defeated in the Wednesday match in two sets Czech Marie Buzkova.
The Belarusian returns to the grassy Wimbledon courts after a year break. Aryna Sabalenka did not participate in the 2024 edition due to injury. Now, however, he apparently wants to attack heavily who knows, maybe even about the final and reaching for the trophy of the most legendary tournament in the world.
Aryna Sabalenka had problems in London. An important signal for Iga Świątek
This year’s Wimbledon is some madness in terms of the number of surprises that take place already at the stage of the 1st round of the single – among ladies and men. Great characters said goodbye to the tournament, headed by American Coco Gauff (number 2 in a ladder) or German Sasha Zwierw (Tournament “Trójka”).
Iga Świątek won the promotion to the second round, relatively easy, looking at other favorites or favorites. Sabalenka is also on the right track to subsequent successes. Although in Wednesday’s second round match, the Belarusian had her problems. Czech Marie Buzkova strongly pressed, even at the end of the first set at 6: 5 with breaking the service of the leader of the world lists.
However, Sabalenenko managed to break back (6: 6), and then resolve tie-break in her favor. In the second party, the Belarusian, however, was not easier at all, and the win was achieved with a score of 6: 4 – only once finding a way to break Buzkova.
This is a clear signal for Świątek. The Polish woman on her tournament ladder has already lost several well -known names, headed by the “two” Gauff. Wimbledon’s “Three” also does not have the “Three”, Jessica Pegula also dropped out in the first round. Therefore, it may turn out that a Polish woman – playing at the right level – will achieve life success in this year’s Wimbledon. And Sabalenka, giving signals that it can be pressed more strongly, is also an obstacle to pass. Both ladies can only meet at the earliest in the final. What would be a set of dreams, looking at the past and competition of both ladies at the largest courts around the world.
At this stage, however, it should be noted that before both players a lot of playing during the Grand Slam tournament in London.
Memories of Iga Świątek with Wimbledon. The Polish woman was a champion!
The best Polish tennis player in history with the legendary tournament in London has quite good memories. A 24 -year -old Świątek won in Wimbledon in 2018, in a junior tournament. It was certainly a valuable moment for the starting dream of great successes, a tennis player from Raszyn near Warsaw.
Looking at the results achieved in the senior edition in London, she presented her best during the 2023 edition. Then the Polish woman reached the quarter -finals of the event. For comparison, in the other tournaments of the Great Slam, the Polish champion achieved at least the semi -final (Australian Open) or won in the finals (Roland Garros and the US Open).
