Arkop: 35 years on the construction market

Founded by the marriage Cecylia and Krzysztof Pianowski, the Arkop company celebrates its jubilee: 35 years on a construction map. The beginnings were extremely difficult, they started in a tight room, without … desk. The years have passed. Today, the Arkop has its own brand, recognition and position on the construction market, not just Lower Silesia. Determines the directions and standards of modern construction. Mr. President, if you could, like in a car, look at the rearview mirror and assess the past years, what would you say to yourself?

Well, you can always say that more could be achieved, but realistically assessing – we have not missed these years. Businessmen say: time is money – agree, but even if you have money, you won’t buy time. From the beginning, a strong start from the beginning, so as not to lose literally any day. They were and hard -working, and mostly successful years. We used the chances and our capabilities. I do not hide, I have full satisfaction with achievements that caused us to now we are a significant company. Of course, at the beginning everything was missing in the sphere of supply, transport … But there was no shortage of ambition and willingness to work reliably, also – as I mentioned – this dynamism. I admit that some decisions regarding orders and their implementation required a certain risk, but there is a rule in business: do not take any risk, it is to expose yourself to the greatest risk. That’s what! To sum up: where we are now and how much we mean on the market, I owe our crew: her diligence, diligence and identification with the company. And it paid off. I always say – Arkop is primarily people. Without them we would not be in the place where we are now. Let me remind you that at the beginning it was only … three employees.

And today, after years?

Today we have over 120 employees and processes in the Arkop group over PLN 250 million. It was not – a quarter billion, quite a lot …

So I will ask: “Arkop” people, how do you do it?

We have staff with knowledge and experience, professionals in the industry. This is often jealous of this. We use the latest technology and that’s why today – I will say concise – we build everything for everyone. There is no exaggeration in this, because we build objects, but also our brand, trust and satisfaction of investors. We build our efficiency and quality of works, timeliness and reliability. Arkop is a universal company, it carries out a full range of construction works.

What could you confirm this more specifically?

The portfolio of facilities transferred to investors is extremely rich. In order not to be groundless, here are only some of the selected objects. Well, we have built over 130 petrol stations for famous companies, including BP, Orlen, Shella, Lotos, Petrochemia Płock, Statoil … and it is known what technical requirements, safety and additional conditions with such investments are severely applicable. In addition, there are several travelers’ service places. I will also add that the Gold Medal was awarded to the company for the best product for the best product in the opinion of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels. Many driver refuel at the station built by us.

As I understand, this versatility is also confirmed by numbers.

Yes, in recent years we have built over 300 investments in various technology. Dozens of spacious industrial halls, sewage treatment plants, service facilities, commercial facilities, in addition, garages, roads, parking lots … We also provide transport and hardware services. Our even flagship customer is the stock market KGHM Lubin. Here we have done works for over … PLN 200 million, i.e. industrial halls, technological facilities, among others In Huta Głogów, we put into use technologically and very difficult to implement objects, such as a dustily and roaster. We are still doing robots in a copper combination for over 80 million. Added to this are projects for retail chains, including Tesco, Bricomarché and Intermarché. The list also includes TGG, buyers’ hall and warehouse and production hall at ul. Jerzmanowska in Wrocław, Research Institute of Roads and Bridges in Żmigród, Carman Car Service Station in Warsaw. But that’s not all. To this list, which cannot be replaced even in the shortest form, you should add the renovation of many historic buildings, which are now a showcase of the city of Wrocław. In addition, among others Congress Center at the well -known Hall of the Stulecia in Wrocław and many, many others. I cannot miss housing construction, because the Arkop gave the tenants over 6,000 apartments. No wonder investors talk about us: reliable and effective.

Are you not afraid of competition then?

Competition, yes, we respect, we have good contacts with them, but we do not have to worry. By the way, competition always mobilizes to further improve technology, technique, and to constantly activity in the broad sense of the word. Investors value us for efficiency in the implementation of the investment and high quality, which they determine – to an uncomfortable – materials used and, as important as: timeliness. We often give objects to investors before the and so strictly set date. The arkop can overtake the calendar. And many times he proved it by optimizing the construction process, the material and design solutions used.

And when it comes toMieszkaniówkę?

The developer, appointed 17 years ago, today determines some standards in the city architecture, urban planning, in its appearance. Until now, we have built over 1,800 apartments as part of our own investments. Let’s take examples again: Osiedle Parkowe Aleje, Osielde Tilia or Contigo estate. The most prestigious of the recently completed investments are the Dominican Apartments Centro Domini – in itself, as the name suggests, the center of Wrocław, for demanding customers. We can sell the entire ready facility, including: financial companies, corporations, funds, banks, real estate companies or interested investors. We are waiting for offers, but we do not stop there either. We go … to Poland. We are planning further new housing investments in Warsaw, Kołobrzeg, Polanica-Zdrój, Karpacz and Świeradów-Zdrój. And this is not the end yet.

No wonder that you even talk about you: Pianowski went ahead …

If they say so, he mobilizes me even more. Anyway, others also assess us thoroughly and many sides, including: specialist teams, taking into account all segments of our activity …

And how do they judge?

The proof is numerous diplomas, distinctions and awards. Brylants of the Polish economy-2017, Diamond of the 30th anniversary of the Polish transformation, Business Eagle-2019. In 2017, the Arkop was recognized in the Forbes ranking as the best company in the SME sector in the province. Lower Silesia. Many times over the years 2009-2023 we won awards in the “Construction of the Year” competition, in addition, awards in the Business Gazelles ranking, Business Champion 2022 and VIP Business 2022. In 2023, we were appreciated in prestigious industry competitions: construction of the Family estate Maślice-Stage II “Modernization of the year & construction of the 21st century”. On the other hand, the first stage of the Parkowe Aleje housing estate was honored with the 1st degree prize in the “Construction of 2023” competition of the Polish Association of Engineers and Construction Technicians.

You were also awarded the title of Polish construction manager, which you did not even mention …

By nature I am a modest man, I do not succumb to self -drawing, and I treat all compliments moderately.

What would you wisheshe himself andcompany inthis jubilee year?

I wish the Arkop would serve people even more. He provided our employees with a dignified life, enabled further development and gave satisfaction from work in our company. However, for our clients he still created a beautiful architecture, a place worthy and comfortable life, and as a result he changed our surroundings to better.
