Non -alcoholic beer for young people. Yes or not?

The topic of selling non -alcoholic beer to minors is controversial. Although these drinks contain a maximum of 0.5% of alcohol, they are often associated with alcoholic drinks and may lead young people to reach for stronger products in the future.

New suggestions for changes in alcohol sales

In Poland, a debate has been going on for a long time about tightening the regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages. Among the analyzed solutions included, among others:

✅ The ban on the sale of alcohol at gas stations – aims to limit access to alcohol for drivers and reducing the number of accidents caused by drunk road users.

✅ Hourly restrictions on the sale of alcohol – in some cities, such as Kraków or Wrocław, there are already night alcohol sales bans. It is possible to expand this solution to the whole country.

✅ An excise duty increase for alcohol – subsequent tax increases could reduce consumption through higher prices of high -percentage beverages.

✅ Exacerbating the recipes for alcohol advertising – one of the ideas is limiting the promotion of beer, which currently enjoys extremely high advertising freedom.

Do alcohol sales restrictions work?

Experts emphasize that effective anti -alcohol policy requires comprehensive activities such as education, legal regulations and control of alcohol availability. WHO indicates that one of the most effective tools in the fight against alcohol abuse is to limit its availability.

It is not yet known which of the analyzed solutions will be implemented, but the Ministry of Health emphasizes that its priority is to reduce alcohol consumption in Poland. According to data, the average Pole drinks about 10 liters of pure alcohol a year, which makes us one of the most drinking nations in Europe.
