Arabs loved traveling to Poland. They dream of flying to these cities
Poland is not only Warsaw, Zakopane and Krakow. Residents of Saudi Arabia will soon be able to discover more cities in our country.
Recent years have brought an unexpected increase in visits by Saudis to Poland. Arabs loved especially the southern part of our country, especially Krakow and Zakopane. Representatives of the tourism industry in the Kingdom hope that the future will bring further air connections between Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam and Polish cities. As announced by Majid Khan, general director of the Saudi Air Connectivity Program, Saudi needs flights not only to Warsaw, but also to Krakow, Gdańsk, Wrocław and Poznań. “These are cities that fit perfectly into the strategy for developing incoming traffic to the Kingdom,” said the representative in an interview with Rynek Lotniczy.
Flights between Arabia and Poland
Although it may seem that the idea of increasing the number of flights between the two countries is driven by the desire to explore Poland, Saudi Arabia wants to develop its tourism first and foremost. According to the implemented “Vision 2030” program, the development of air connections with such a strategic partner as Poland will bring new sources of attracting tourists who, given the choice of another trip to Spain or a flight to the yet undiscovered Arabian Peninsula, will choose the latter.
“The visionary project assumed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would be visited by 100 million tourists by 2030, but the forecasts have already become outdated – it is currently expected that the country will be visited by 50 million more tourists,” says Majid Khan.
More tourists from Arabia
Of course, such a move will benefit both parties involved. “Poland is emerging as a top tourist destination, becoming a very popular holiday destination among Arabs,” adds Khan, who admits that Krakow is still the most popular among Saudis. Soon, in addition to LOT, Air Arabia and Etihad, the Flynas airline may also launch connections on routes to Poland, but the exact date of introducing such flights is not known. The low-budget carrier Wizz Air is also constantly expanding its expansion into the Middle East and currently flies to Arabia, among others. from Italy, Austria, Hungary and the United Arab Emirates.
