Apple revolutionizes payments in Poland. Just an iPhone

Apple launches TAP to Pay in Poland. Thanks to it, the iPhone will change into a payment terminal. The service is starting today.
Apple officially announced the launch of the TAP to Pay service in Poland. The new solution allows you to accept contactless payments without having a traditional terminal. The function, which until now has been available only in the USA, from today also operates in several European countries, including on the Vistula.
New function in the iPhone
Tap to Pay allows you to turn the iPhone into a full -fledged terminal. All you need is a telephone equipped with a NFC module and a compatible application to accept payments with VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards, as well as telephones or watches from Apple Pay and other digital wallets, such as Google Pay. The service is available on Apple devices from the iPhone XS above.
Transaction security is provided by the same solutions that protect Apple Pay users – the data is encrypted, and each operation processed using the Secure Element microcossus. Apple emphasizes that it does not collect information about shopping or customers.
Telephone as a terminal
In Poland, the TAP To Pay START service is available from operators such as Adaen, Eservice, PKO Bank Polski, Mollie, Stripe, Sumup, Viva and Worldline. They will soon be joined by Planet Pay, Revolut and PEP from the Nexi group.
In addition to Poland, TAP is also starting in Bulgaria, Finland, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Switzerland. Apple argues that the new solution will facilitate conducting activities to small entrepreneurs, eliminating the need to buy a separate terminal and exposing themselves to additional costs.
In Poland, where 90 percent Commercial and service outlets already accepted by card payments, TAP to Pay has a chance to become another popular solution supporting non-cash rotation.
