Brands from the United States dominated this year’s list – they are responsible for 82 percent. TOP 100 total value. The share of European brands fell to 7 percent, while in 2006 it was 26 percent. In turn, brands from China doubled their share to 6 percent.
The list also included brands from outside the USA, which are distinguished by dynamic development. These are Spotify from Sweden, the Indian operator Airtel or Mercado Libre from Argentina – the only brand from Latin America in TOP 100. In the category of financial services the largest increase was recorded by the Canadian bank of the RBC – its value increased by 43 percent. year on year.

As Kantar notes, brands that have transformed their industries are responsible for as much as 71 percent. an increase in the total value of the first hundred in the last 20 years. Martin Guerrieria from Kantar emphasizes that in times of economic slowdown, it is the brand that is of key importance to maintaining the company’s position on the market.
