Apartment on credit? Young people want, but there is a basic “but”

Kredyty mieszkaniowe poza zasięgiem młodych

Every tenth young Pole plans to take a mortgage in 2025, but most do not have sufficient creditworthiness to get it.

According to the UCE Research report, 10 percent This year, young Poles intend to apply for a loan to buy an apartment. However, as the report consultant Adrian Parol notes, most of them do not meet the conditions required by banks to receive financing.

No stable income

Young people usually do not yet have stable income or an established professional position. They also lack credit history, which makes it difficult to obtain a positive credit decision. The expert points out that it takes several years of work to achieve the level of income and employment, which allows the client to be treated as credible to the bank.

The study shows that men more often than women declare their willingness to take a mortgage. People with monthly net income in the range from 7000 to 8999 PLN and having higher education have the best chance of getting it. They are usually residents of medium -sized cities.

The report also shows that for many young Poles the decision to take a loan is associated with serious fears. They often do not want to be permanently associated with one place, and they consider a financial commitment to be risky for 20 or 30 years.

Differences at prices

Differences in the prices of apartments between large and smaller cities also affect young decisions. The purchase of real estate in Warsaw is much more difficult than, for example, in Elbląg, which means that people without high earnings are more likely to give up the plans to buy an apartment.

In addition, many young Poles do not yet have specific plans for the future. They often prefer to spend financial surpluses for current needs or passion, instead of investing in real estate and related long -term financial liability.
