Another accident during the Nysa Rally. The driver is dead
The organizers of the Nysa Rally announced the tragic accident. The 40-year-old driver died and his co-driver was taken to hospital. On Saturday, in another incident on the rally route, two photojournalists were injured when a rally driver’s car hit them.

The organizers reported that there was a fatal accident in which a 40-year-old driver died and his co-driver was taken to hospital.
“At around 11:30 on the special stage of Stary Las (Nyska poviat, Głuchołazy commune) there was an accident of crew number 112, participating in the round of the historical championship,” wrote the rally organizers.
“Despite immediate help, the 40-year-old driver died on the spot. The pilot was taken to hospital,” it added.
The rally has ended. Its organizers added that they would not provide additional information regarding the event at this stage. In a statement, they said that further comment on the accident will be published in cooperation with the relevant services.
The first accident on the rally route
This is the second tragic event on the route of this year’s Nysa Rally. On Saturday, a car went off the road and hit people standing on the side of the road. Two people were transported to hospital. One of the people was taken by an air ambulance helicopter, the other by an ambulance.
The injured were photojournalists documenting the course of the Nysa Rally. They suffered injuries to their lower limbs. The people hit by the rally car were in a place that was marked as dangerous by the rally organizers.

The Nysa Rally is part of the Polish Rally Championship. It is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday (October 11 and 12).
– Nearly 120 kilometers of racing on long distances awaits us. At the start we will see nearly 90 crews, including 37 crews from the RSMP and 25 from the historical MP – said the organizer of the rally, Michał Czapko.
