After a fantastic finish, Anna Wielgosz did not give her rivals a chance and won her first gold medal in the history of starts at European championships. It was 800 meters competition.
The Polish athlete fell to the finish with a time of 2: 02.09. This is the second HME 2025 gold medal for Poland. Jakub Szymański won the first on Friday in the 60 -meter race through the fences.

In addition to two gold medals, the Polish team can also praise two medals. Bronze, also on Friday, was won by Pia Skrzyszowska. The Polish fencer in 60 meters beat her best result this season. Maksymilian Szwed added a silver disc on 400 meters. The only 20 -year -old, extremely talented boy, was close to winning the championship title. After over two decades, you can already delete the record achievement of Marek Plawga.
From Saturday evening, the new, best time at 400 m among men – looking at the Polish results of all time – there is a result of 45.31 s. The previous Plavga record was: 45.39 p. And it seems that the talented Swede can fight for an even better result in its sporting future.
