Andrzej Duda like a true Olympian. The president stole the show again

Andrzej Duda flew to Paris, where the Olympic Games officially began on Friday, July 26. The president took part in the opening ceremony and earlier participated in the opening of the Polish House.

On Saturday, the head of state visited the Olympic Village in Paris. The politician met with Polish athletes who will be competing for Olympic medals. The presidential styling caught the eye – Andrzej Duda wore a white jacket from the Polish brand Bizuu. – We keep our fingers crossed that the limit of 300 medals will be significantly exceeded during these games. We would like to see as many gold medals as possible among them – said Andrzej Duda.

The President’s Office noted that among the more than two hundred Polish athletes called up to the national team for the Paris Olympics, the largest group is track and field athletes – it consists of 65 people. The second largest group in Paris will be male and female volleyball players (26 people). 22 people will represent Poland in swimming and diving. 15 athletes will compete for medals in cycling and 14 in kayaking. For the first time in history, women have a numerical advantage, with 113 of them. Polish Olympians will compete in a total of 22 sports and 28 sports disciplines.

During the meeting with the Olympians, the president decided to try his hand at table tennis. The competition was watched by, among others, the head of the president’s office, Marcin Mastalerek.

This was not the only sporting activity of the head of state during his visit to Paris. During the opening of the Polish House, basketball player Piotr Grabowski challenged the head of state – he wondered if he would be able to perform a spectacular slam dunk. Andrzej Duda immediately caught the ball, but the shot missed the basket. However, the president did not give up, he tried again and this time he made an accurate shot. – We once won the Kraków championship with our school team – he commented.

A moment later Andrzej Duda decided to try his hand at a basketball trick. This time, he was accompanied by his coach, Kacper Lachowicz. A recording has appeared on the web showing the president holding two spinning balls on pens.
