Andrzej Duda accuses Robert Korzeniowski of lies. Calls for “repentance”
Former president Andrzej Duda denied Robert Korzeniowski’s words. He accused the multiple medalist of making false claims about him. He presented his version in a post on the X platform.
Let us recall that Robert Korzeniowski spoke on TOK FM radio about politicians supporting the president of the Polish Olympic Committee. – Some of the votes for Piesiewicz were cast after the recommendation of his predecessor, who gave in under pressure from President Duda and Jacek Sasin – said the Olympian.
Korzeniowski spoke about Duda’s interference. The politician responds
“I regret to inform you that Mr. Korzeniowski, in his fight for the position of the President of the Polish Olympic Committee, resorts to slander that cannot be left unreacted,” Andrzej Duda commented on these words. “I would like to inform you that this statement is grossly inconsistent with the facts and the truth. I had respect and friendship for the unfortunately deceased, former President of the Polish Olympic Committee, Mr. Andrzej Kraśnicki. I have always valued and publicly appreciated his work for Poland, the Olympic Family and sport,” the politician emphasized.
“Not only have I never persuaded President Andrzej Kraśnicki to resign from running for another term at the head of the PKOL, but on the contrary, I was convinced that he should run. President Andrzej Kraśnicki informed me personally about his decision in this matter and I was surprised by this decision. It happened in the presence of witnesses,” Duda noted.

“As a result, the elections for the office of the President of the Polish Olympic Committee were won by Mr. Radosław Piesiewicz. No one, including President Andrzej Kraśnicki, questioned either the procedure of these elections or the result of the vote itself,” recalled the former president. At the end of his message, he addressed the former athlete directly.
“I am currently appealing to Mr. Korzeniowski to come to his senses and leave the path of slander and political games, and to all honest people involved in the affairs of the Polish Olympic Movement not to succumb to political and propaganda propaganda and to reliably guard the independence and sovereignty of the Polish Olympic Committee and the Olympic Movement,” he concluded.
