And will he receive full -time jobs? The expert puts a surprising thesis

Nadchodzi AI – czy to koniec tradycyjnych zawodów?

Artificial intelligence redefines work – automates tasks, but creates new roles. Will AI take a job?

Artificial intelligence is more and more boldly entering many industries, arousing concerns about the future of employment. Automation, chatbots, generative systems – for some it is a chance to increase performance, for others the spectrum of mass layoffs. There is a sense of danger among employees that traditional competitions will disappear or radically change. Does AI really mean the end of jobs or just their evolution?

– From the HR perspective and recruitment in the outsourcing sector and advanced IT services, we observe that the development of AI does not eliminate jobs, but changes their character, and thus – the competences that we are really looking for today. Artificial intelligence automates operational tasks, while the importance of advisory, design and integration roles, i.e. those that require understanding of both the business and technological context – notes Karol Wasilewski, Head of Recruitment in RITS in an interview with “Wprost”.

AI and the evolution of the competition

Artificial intelligence does not so much eliminate the competition, which mobilizes employees and companies to redefine roles and tasks. Digital transformation powered by AI forces acquiring new skills and a flexible approach to career development. The expert explains how the nature of work changes on the example of the IT industry and the consultant’s position.

– His role is evolving – from the performer to a partner who can recommend AI solutions, conducts a transformation and supports the client at the strategic level. This requires a new mix of skills: knowledge of technology, but also soft competences, such as analytical thinking, communication or adaptability – says Wasilewski.

He notes that artificial intelligence also creates completely new career paths – from data engineers to algorithmic ethics specialists, which for recruitment and HR teams means the need to redefine position profiles and a dynamic approach to talent planning.

– At the same time, thanks to the tools based on AI, a remote work model – both on a local and globally scale – has become a standard. This opens up enormous possibilities, also for people outside large markets or those who have so far had limited access to the IT industry – he states.

Will artificial intelligence replace people?

Many people are afraid that the machines will take over their responsibilities and completely eliminate the need for human work. The expert, however, reassures that the role of man remains crucial, although it will change with the development of technology.

– Although AI brings specific business effects by automating or accelerating certain processes, it does not replace human thinking. People who can consciously work with her are needed. Therefore, as HR leaders, we should support the development of future competences and create a work environment in which technology strengthens the potential of man and does not displace it – notes Wasilewski.

He emphasizes that artificial intelligence does not receive professional opportunities, but changes requirements and opens the door to new roles.

-Ai is not the end of work. These are new opportunities, especially for those who want to learn, develop and act at the interface of man and technology – he concludes.
