An unusual situation on the Baltic Sea. The whale got tangled in the fishing network
There was no such action at the Polish sea for a long time. The whale swam extremely close to the shore, which caused him to get involved in the fishing network. A rescue operation was undertaken and tourists ran down to the beach.
The maritime search and rescue service informed about an unusual event. It was she who received a report on January 26 that a whale entangled in the network on the Baltic Sea needs help. Everything happened before noon off the coast of Międzyzdroje near Dziwnów in the Wolin National Park.

Seaside media quickly wrote about the case, and the whaler’s photos went to the network. “Okay, catch a hit. There was a wolf in Łeba, a dog on the Bug and now Humbak Ocean Dłopłoście ” – wrote the director of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service on Platform X. The pictures show a huge fish that cannot leave the network. A whale needed help that immediately appeared on the spot.
Spokeswoman WWF Polska. Agnieszka Veljković said that the animal was alive and experts tried to help him. It is known that the rescue operation was complicated and required high caution. It was important not to expose the animal to additional stress and not cause severe injuries.

The whale got stuck only 80 meters from the shore. As soon as the rescue operation began, tourists interested in the fate of the mammal began to go to the beach in Międzyzdroje. “This arouses a sensation,” said one of the TVN24 reporters.
Alicja Rucińska managed to talk to an expert who personally stayed on the boat and poured a whale from the network.
“We sailed a small boat so as not to annoy the animal. It was about 12 meters long and we were two or three times smaller than him. It was adrenaline and at the same time a desire to help everything would succeed. You had to be careful not to fall into the water yourself and not release a whale with the network. If she stayed on him, he would die sooner or later. He probably understood that we want to help him and was quite calm. First, we got into one fin, and then the tail and succeeded. ” – commented Mr. Konrad from the Search and Rescue Service in an interview for TVN24.
One of the experts added that a whale meeting in the Baltic is an unusual phenomenon and we are talking about a real surprise. Tourists are still on a nearby beach, being impressed. It can be said that the whole action was successful.
