An unusual hotel in Albania will attract tourists. It has a zigzag shape

Today, tourists are no longer looking for hotels that will only meet their basic needs. The price includes luxury and originality – we want our accommodation to be unique. The owners of hotels and guesthouses are looking for new ways to interest tourists with their facility. In Albania, a Zygzak -shaped hotel is being built on the green hill on the Adriatic. “The facility has a chance to become a new decoration of Albanian Riviera,” writes Rzeczpospolita.

The JAUBERT Architecture architectural studio in cooperation with UNS Architects has created a hotel that will change the face of Albanian Riviera. A building is being built in the vicinity of the town of Himara in the south of the country, which makes a special impression from a bird’s eye view. All because of its original shape – Zigzag Resort, as the name suggests, resembles a broken line that winds along the hill directly to the Adriatic. According to the authors, the hotel fits perfectly with the surroundings, and solar orientation is to reduce the demand for energy, which is particularly important in the case of such a large five -star facility. “Locally acquired Berat stone was used for construction, chosen for durability and reference to regional building traditions,” we read in the Design Boom article.

Swimming pools with a sea view

What catches the eye of tourists the most are infinity pool pools – due to the specific, zigzag form of the building, each of them provides an undisturbed view of the sea.

Albania is famous for their bold architectural forms not only on the coast. In the capital of this country, Tirana, one of the most famous panorama points is the Forever Green Tower skyscraper, located next to the central Skanderbega Square.
