An unusual city in the distribution of Wizz Air. Once tourists could not visit him

Medyna w Arabii Saudyjskiej

A city appeared in the Wizz Air schedule, whose tourists could not visit. This is one of the longest routes of the Hungarian carrier.

Wizz Air surprised its clients with another intercontinental route. This time, thanks to the purchase of modern Airbus A321XLR aircraft, which enable record long connections, passengers from London will be able to fly to a medina. Until 2021, the Holy City of Islamic followers remained partly inaccessible to the infidels. Today, “ordinary” tourists can visit them, unlike the still closed Mecca.

The third longest Wizz Air route

After Wizz Air announced connections from Milan to Abu Dhabi and from London to Judda, the time has come for another record intercontinental route. This time, passengers will be able to fly from the capital of Great Britain to a Medina, called the “city of the Prophet”. The second most important city after Mecca for followers of Islam is located in the northwestern part of Saudi Arabia and until recently it has not invited tourists of other religions. Only from 2021 foreign guests can visit the historic center of Al-Haram, with the exception of the interior of the Prophet Mosque. Visits to the city for “ordinary tourists” are allowed only outside the Saint Pilgrimage of Hajj, which falls this year from 4 to 9 June 2025, over two months after Ramadan.

Long -range aircraft

Wizz Air is more and more boldly trying to implement very long, even seven hours of cruises. All thanks to the ordered long -range airbus. The A321XLR models will debut exactly on March 31, and the first flight to Medina is planned for August 1, 2025. Ticket prices at the moment, however, are not low and start from about 230 pounds per person for a one -way flight. Planes will operate on the Gatwick route every day, enabling this route to be implemented to tourists from Poland. For now, the port in the southern part of London can be reached from the airport in Balice near Krakow, and soon also from Warsaw Chopin.
