On Monday, at the Modlin airport, passengers witnessed a dangerous incident involving a Pole. The passenger who was waiting for the evening flight from the Dublin airport near Warsaw suddenly became aggressive, and his unpredictable behavior testified to alcohol intoxication. The border guard reacted on site, which was forced to use force in relation to the 38-year-old. The man will answer before the court for insulting public officials and for violating the ordinal provisions in force at the airport.
An incident with a drunk passenger in Modlin
Monday, April 14 was not a quiet day at Warsaw-Modlin Airport. In the evening, when only a few departures remained until the end of the day, there was a serious intervention of the Border Guard at the airport. The reason for calling the services was a 38-year-old passenger using Polish citizenship, who began to behave aggressively during check-in at the goal at the flight line Ryanair to Dublin.
The plane, which from the port of Ireland near Warsaw, flew at 22:05, eventually did not accept the Pole on board. “The officers attempted to calm down the passenger, but the man did not respond to orders and repeated calls to maintain lawful,” it was written on the website of the Border Guard Department. The officers were not enough for a verbal admonition of a tourist. Lack of cooperation meant that the guards had to use “direct coercion measures” – physical strength, overpowering grips and handcuffs.

It quickly turned out that the 38-year-old from Poland was standing alcohol intoxication. “The man was detained and transported to the Hospital Emergency Department in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, where the study showed 2.35 per mil of alcohol in the blood,” says the border guard. When the tests allow the process to be carried out, the man will bear the consequences of his actions. Two allegations will be made to the Pole – insulting public officials under Art. 226 §1 of the Penal Code and violation of the airport’s order provisions resulting from the Act on aviation law.
