The deadline for submitting information on the use of maximum electricity rates under de minimis aid in 2024 has been extended. Entrepreneurs and farmers must be careful not to miss the new date.

As “Business Insider” reminds, farmers and entrepreneurs could benefit from the maximum electricity rates in the second half of 2024. However, if they do not submit information on this matter, they may not maintain the above-mentioned rates and will face energy surcharges. The deadline for completing these formalities has just been extended to June 30.

Farmers and entrepreneurs with an extended deadline. It’s about energy

The information must be submitted to your energy supplier. Failure to do so will mean the need to adjust energy billing. Price lists resulting from the sales agreement will then be accepted. For many entities, this will involve a large increase in energy costs for the second half of 2024, and companies selling energy to them will send corrective invoices.

Information on this subject was published online by, among others, Daniel Iwan, spokesman for Tauron Sales. “Entrepreneurs can fill out information about assistance quickly and conveniently thanks to an intuitive online form. It only takes a few minutes and allows you to maintain the statutory electricity price in the second half of 2024. The extended deadline for submitting the document is June 30. We encourage you not to leave it until the last minute,” he emphasized.

Energa issued a similar warning. “If we do not receive this document from you within the deadline indicated above, you will be obliged to refund the difference between the maximum price and the price resulting from your contract. We will add statutory interest from the settlement date to the refund amount,” the company wrote.

The requirement to submit information to the electricity supplier results from the Act of May 2024 on energy vouchers and amending certain acts to limit the prices of electricity, natural gas and district heating. From July 1 to December 31, 2024, the maximum price for electricity, which is public aid or de minimis aid, was used in settlements.
