An important message before flight into a picnic. You will not make a passport that day
For many tourists it will be unpleasant information, especially those who will be in a difficult situation unexpectedly just before the flight. A special message on the Fast Passport points of the Ministry of Interior and Administration was issued.
Currently, many Poles go to picnic trips. Some will spend this time in their country, others will fly abroad. We should especially be careful for this type of travel, especially if we are going to a country where you need to have a passport. As the points of rapid development of these documents at the airports will be closed, forgetful and careless will not be able to count on help.
Fast passport points on May 2. There is a message
These passport points will not be open to travelers on both May holidays, i.e. May 1 and May 3, but also on Friday, May 2, which is a working day. This can mislead many people who will be sure that if necessary, they will make a document at the airport that day. The government message shows that this will not be the case.
“On the day May 2, 2025 Fast temporary passport points at Chopin Airport in Warsaw, at the Krakow – Balice international airport, Airport Lech Wałęsa in Gdańsk, Katowice International Airport in Pyrzowice, Poznań-Ławica Airport and Wrocław Airport Nicolaus Copernicus will be closed, “we read on GOV.pl.
This means that even newly opened facilities that travelers have enjoyed for a long time will not be open. The situation will return to normal after the May weekend. It should be remembered that even on traditional days points are open only at designated times, usually from Monday to Friday between 07:30 – 15:30. If we need to express the document expressly before the evening flight or at the weekend, we will not do it.

What else should travelers know? From the quick development point of the temporary passport you can only use once and you need to have a valid ticket and a document confirming identity. We will pay PLN 30 for creating a passport and a photo. You can apply for a document at the airport point no earlier than 2 business days before the planned outlet.
