Americans tested a drone from Poland. He has to see a lot and fly far

M Tiguar

During exercises in the Philippines, the American Green Berets tested a Polish-made drone – Tiguar M. They were looking for reliable communication and long range. Did they find it?

– It’s true – Paweł Woźniak, president of uAvionics, which produces Tiguar M drones, confirmed to Wprost.pl participation in the exercises in the Indo-Pacific. The machine was constructed by Poles with long-term reconnaissance, intelligence and patrol missions in mind.

What is the result of these tests? – We would like to know – says the CEO of Avionics mysteriously. One thing is certain – it was the Americans who asked the Polish company to provide equipment. And it’s not by accident.

How could the M Tiguar impress Americans?

M Tiguar is not a small device – it has a wingspan of 4.1 meters, a take-off weight of 25 kg and a hybrid drive: combustion-electric. It can take off from a launch pad rather than a runway and is ready to take off in 2 minutes. It was created with civilian use in mind, but over time it evolved into dual-use equipment – civilian and military.

Importantly, it has a uSEEKER optoelectronic head that combines a 30x optical zoom with a thermal imaging camera. But American special forces are not impressed by such specifications, but by the actual advantages of the equipment. They are looking for reliable drones.

The unmanned aerial vehicle was no secret to the American military. The uAvionics company has been selling it for several years, also on the American market. Successfully, as Paweł Woźniak sparingly reports. We’ll find out more in the fall.

Naval attack off the coast of Philip – mTiguar involved

The Balikatan military exercise is one of the most important joint training exercises between the United States and the Philippines. In 2026, they took place between April 20 and May 8 with the participation of approximately 17,000 soldiers. The exercises were attended by the Philippines and the United States, as well as partners and allies: Australia, Japan, Canada, France and New Zealand. For the first time, Japanese units participated in weapons scenarios.

The exercises (sea attack) took place throughout the entire Philippine archipelago, with particular emphasis on northern Luzon and the areas near the Luzon Strait, which was of key importance for coastal defense. As American General Christian Wortman assured at the opening, “regardless of challenges in other parts of the world, the United States’ attention is focused on the Indo-Pacific region and our steely commitment to the Philippines remains unwavering.”
