A beautiful Polish city was appreciated by American tourists. This time it was not Krakow or Warsaw.

In a recent Business Insider article, a woman recalls a car trip, during which, together with her husband, they visited the capital of Lower Silesia for the first time in their lives. The Polish city quickly became one of its favorite directions not only in Europe, but also in the world. The couple pointed out, among others On the fairytale market, but these are islands and bridges, thanks to which Wrocław is known as “Poland Venice”, they stole their hearts.
American couple delighted with Wrocław
Nicole Harris Bociański decided to travel to Wrocław, although she had no idea about the existence of this city before. “Three years ago I would not be able to indicate him on the map,” writes the journalist and explains that the first visit to Lower Silesia was a complete accident. “My husband and I went on a car journey around several European countries and we wanted to stop somewhere near the hometown of his father in Poland. Wrocław seemed to meet our expectations,” we read. The couple quickly found out that the Polish city has a lot to offer and is calmer than Krakow.

Of course, the trip began with a walk to the market. “Passing next to colorful buildings, the old town hall and the vibrant cafe, we and my husband had the impression that we were in a fairy tale,” recalls the journalist. However, the main square in the city is not its only bright point. The favorite part of the American city was located in the center of Ostrów Tumski, one several islands that are part of the municipal agglomeration, known as the oldest part of Wrocław. It is thanks to the islands and bridges, which are even 120, some call Wrocław “Polish Venice” “. Nicole also praised the intriguing Wroclaw dwarfs and excellent cuisine.
