As part of this year’s edition of the “Dobry Start” program, almost 4 million applications for funds for school supplies were submitted. When applying for PLN 300 plus, parents most often make three mistakes.

This summer, the eighth edition of the “Dobry Start” program started. It assumes the granting of a benefit of PLN 300 (hence its common name 300 plus) for a school layette. The benefit is granted to each child attending school aged 7 to 20, and if he or she has been diagnosed with a disability, up to the age of 24.

Support is available once a year for a child studying at school until they turn 20 years old or – in the case of disabled children – 24 years old. Age is calculated on a yearly basis. This means that students in the last years of technical secondary schools and post-secondary schools are entitled to the benefit if they are 20 years old or 24 years old before the start of the school year. – reminds the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).

The benefit is not available to children attending kindergarten and children completing one-year kindergarten preparation in the so-called kindergarten or school.

The latest information provided by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy on the X platform shows that a total of almost PLN 4,600,000 has already been paid under this year’s edition of the “Dobry Start” program. benefits. The Ministry reminds that applications for money for school supplies can be submitted until November 30, which means that parents and guardians have only two weeks to do so.

The most common mistakes
