All Saints’ Day is getting closer. This is how you can save on candles

There are more and more evil people in Poland. This solution is beneficial not only financially, but also ecologically.
All Saints’ Day is getting closer. On November 1, we will go to the graves of our loved ones to lay flowers and light candles. Perhaps not everyone knows, but there are more and more places where you don’t have to buy candles, because they work indiscriminately.
Graveyards are – as explained by the Chief Environmental Inspectorate – shelves or stands on which we can leave used candles, provided that they are not damaged. – You can leave full candles, candle covers or new inserts in the candle room. After burning the glass candle, simply wash it and leave it on the shelf. Thanks to this, people for whom purchasing a candle is a big expense can use a lamp left by someone else – emphasizes the Chief Environmental Inspectorate.
The villains are coming. Savings are not everything
The “second life” of candles is – as the institution notes – not only a relief for the wallet. By recycling candles, we avoid containers full of waste and thus protect the environment.
The first graveyards were built at the Northern Cemetery in Warsaw. There are more and more of them, among others: in Krakow at cemeteries such as, among others, Prądnik Czerwony, Grębałów, or at the Rakowicki cemetery. – We have a total of 11 of them at Krakow cemeteries. At such points we can both pick up and leave a candle that is in good condition and only exchange the insert. This solution is beneficial for residents not only financially, but also ecologically, so that while remembering their loved ones, they also take nature into account. – explains Łukasz Sęk, vice-president of Krakow, quoted by “Super Express”.
How much will we spend on candles?
Also present are, among others, in Łomianki, Płock, Częstochowa, Poznań and Świdnik. Shelves with candles are becoming more and more popular among local residents, which is why more and more initiatives of this type are appearing.
Meanwhile, according to a recent survey by SW Research for “Wprost”, almost half of Poles estimate that they will spend between PLN 100 and 500 on candles and flowers this year. One third of respondents will spend less than PLN 100 for this purpose. They plan to spend more than PLN 500 only 5.8 percent of respondents.
