Bartosz Lemański revealed what happened to his injury
However, not everything went according to the coach’s intention. Already in the first match of the tournament, against Slovenia, things got really tense for a moment. Bartłomiej Lemański, who returned to the national team after many years, had to leave the field after only a few actions. The PGE Projekt Warszawa midfielder made a bad attempt at blocking and was unable to continue playing.
Bartosz Lemański was immediately examined. – At the hotel, the doctor and I quickly did an ultrasound and something showed up. It was a must see. Fortunately, it’s an old injury, so it’s just a matter of a few days to come back. It’s not as bad as I thought at the beginning, admitted the center.
– It didn’t look serious from the beginning, but sometimes it just seems that way. The important thing is that we have the results and they are OK. There was no fracture, that is the most important thing – added Nikola Grbic after the match.
The midfielder of PGE Projekt Warszawa decided to reassure the fans via Instagram.
“Brief information about the injury in Krakow: First, thank you all for your words of support, I really appreciate it. Fortunately, the sprain is not serious and I plan to be ready to play in a few days. See you on the dance floor,” he wrote. When asked if fans should worry about his performance in the European Championships, he replied briefly – “not anymore”.
Injuries to the midfielders. Nikola Grbic has a problem
The fact that Bartosz Lemański’s injury is not serious is particularly important if you look at what has happened with the Polish midfielders in recent months.
Mateusz Bieniek decided to take a break for health reasons. – This is an extremely difficult decision for me, because representing Poland has always been and is a huge honor and dream for me. I regret this very much, but now the most important thing is my health and getting back to full fitness, the player emphasized.
The situation is even worse Jakub Kochanowski. The Polish representative underwent knee surgery and will not be able to play in the European Championships.
He resigned from the national team before the start of the season Norbert Huber. – I don’t regret the decisions I made. They were solely due to my health. Sometimes you are faced with difficult choices and you have to define your priorities, the player explained.
