Airport in Radom closed after a disaster. Flights were redirected to Warsaw

On Thursday evening there was a tragedy in Radom. During the rehearsal at the Air Show, a valued pilot, Major Maciej “Slab” of the inhabitants of Krakow. The fire brigade received a notification about the plane crash at 19.27.

The regional daily “Echo Dnia” announced that the runway in which the plane hit was destroyed, although the degree of damage is still unknown. “According to our journalist Dawid Owczarek, who is still near the airport – unofficial information shows that the runway on which F16 fell is heavily damaged and will certainly be closed for about 2 weeks,” we read.

He was asked about these reports from the PPL press office, which is the owner and manager of the Radom airport.
