AI factories. Poland is a key player in the European Revolution

The AI factory will be built in Poznań. “We move from the consumer position to the role of co -creator of the architecture of the future,” believes Dr. Patryk Kuzior.
EuroHPC has chosen six new projects, which – together with the seven previous ones – will create a network of modern research centers in the EU, so -called AI factories. The initiative, supported by 21 Member States and 2 Associated, aims to combine computing power, data and talent to develop trusted and ethical AI models. New centers will be created, among others in Poland, Germany, France and Austria. Dr. Patryk Kuzior, an assistant professor at the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza, talks about the opportunity for Poland for Poland.
AI factories signal the change in EU optics
According to the expert, the initiative of establishing AI factories is proof that the European Union is trying to change the innovation vector.
-It is no longer about the race with China or the USA, which-under the influence of the duo: Trump-Musk, symbolizing populist dissection and corporate domination-destroyed the existing order of the global economy, but also about building balance in united Europe, escaping from the phenomenon of development of different speeds-notes Dr. Patryk Kuzior.
AI factories are a chance for Poland
According to the scientist, placing two AI factories in our country is a great chance to move from the consumer to the role of a co -creator.
– This time we were not pushed out of the margin, but we will participate in an important project, and this is a strategic opportunity for Poland, because probably no one doubts that artificial intelligence is the future that is happening today. So we are when we are able to move from the position of consumer ready technological solutions to the role of at least co -creator of the architecture of the future – says Dr. Patryk Kuzior.
In his opinion, one can look for a political context in the actions of the European Commission, which in recent months has realized the need to redefine approach in various areas and greater activity in building European unity. However, as the scientist emphasizes, the selection of a commission that focuses on Poland and Poznań is not accidental.
– I see here the desire to build a pillar of future development here. This is no accident. This is an invitation to the role of a co -host of the future. And this role is not only associated with prestige, but also responsibility: for quality, for values, for a man in the world of technology. Therefore, whether we use this opportunity, he will decide not only about the position of Poznań and the region, but also about Poland’s place on the technological map of Europe – says the expert and emphasizes that this is a new test for local governments.
AI factories will change investment habits of local governments?
As the expert notes, this initiative is a signal of changes that take place in local governments.
– We used to be in such a situation that the local authorities enjoyed every investment. The most important thing was that the investor with money came to buy an area for investment from the commune and create any jobs. Today, the investment is more and more often looking at the process of attracting the investment completely differently. Local governments have understood that strategic and long -term thinking is necessary, and in this perspective the most important is quality. It is important, therefore, where the investor comes from, in what industry he plans to invest, what it means for the environment, how innovative it is and how it can affect the local community. The balance of benefits today has much more components than just the number of jobs, income from the sale of land or tax paid to the municipal cash register – says Dr. Kuzior.
According to the scientist, this is a kind of transition from the investment “at any price” to investment with value. As a result of this change, local governments may attract other types of investors and implement undertakings of a much higher caliber than before.
– Such thinking creates an opportunity, thanks to which we will be increasingly hearing that the local authorities have been able to attract the investment of the future. Of course, this will not happen. The local government must create conditions for the space it offered to be attractive for this type of investment – sums up the expert.
