After night, fines fell in the Tatra Mountains. “Absolutely prohibited”

Tatry

The Tatra National Park warns tourists and asks you to follow the regulations. Breaking this prohibition threatens a fine.

The Tatra National Park is definitely not a suitable place for camping. Although tourists in the highest Polish mountains can be tempted in the summer, beautiful nature, it is available to visitors only during the day. The park authorities recently reminded of the absolute ban on navigating the trails after dark and published a photo of two tents, whose owners had to accept the mandate. “There are several PTTK tourist shelters in the park, where you can relax and spend the night,” says TPN.

The night under the stars will end in a ticket

Are you going on a trip to the Tatra Mountains? Remember to make sure that you plan to visit in the shelter you plan to visit in advance. If the accommodation on the trail turns out to be impossible, before dark go from the top and move towards accommodation outside the national park. The highest Polish mountains are not a good choice for enthusiasts of sleeping under the cloud. Any attempt to sleep in a tent or on a hammock in the Tatra Mountains will end up waking up the park’s guards and the handing of a high ticket. “Biwakowanie is absolutely prohibited here,” we read in the latest post on Facebook TPN, where photos of two tents found in the mountains were posted.

It’s about safety

The rules that are guided by TPN are not intended to tempt tourists to spend money in shelters. Limiting people’s movement along the trails from dusk to dawn allows animals so that they can move freely between places of feeding and rest. “Rysie, wolves, foxes, as well as bears and others – they all use trails when it gets dark,” we read.

A close meeting with the bear or wolf could be a very dangerous experience for Biwakowiczs. So let’s follow the designated rules and use the mountains with respect for nature.
