Absolute Polish volleyball record. The 30: 0 result leaves no doubt

PlusLiga, or men’s games of volleyball players in Poland, has grown in strength over the past years. This can be seen not only through the level of league matches played, but also in direct meetings of Polish clubs in European cups.

PlusLiga clubs outclasses the competition in Europe!

According to the calculations of the invaluable Jakub Balcerzak in this respect, looking only at the 2024/25 season, the teams from PlusLiga twisted an impressive 30: 0 balance. They have earned such an impressive series in three different cups from the CEV stable.

In the Champions League: Jastrzębski Węgiel, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and PGE Projekt Warszawa. Cev Cup is Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. What’s more, as Balcerzak noted, in addition we are talking about the longest series of official wins through one nation in European competitions in the 21st century.

Asseco Resovia is already in the quarter -finals as a defender of the title from the previous season. It is possible that, like in the previous season, again volleyball fans from Poland will be able to get excited about the final matches in each of the three cups where there will be a Polish club. What’s more, Asseco Resovia won the CEV 2024 Cup, and the project (then without PGE) the Challenge Cup 2024. In the Champions League final, the second time in a row, Jastrzębski Węgiel also played. The gold medalists of PlusLiga, however, failed to reach for the trophy, although it is possible that in the 2024/25 season, they will aim at the output of the two final defeats in a row.
