World hotels are open to a variety of guests, and their tolerance is welcome. However, problems begin when things get out of control and the facility becomes dangerous.

An unusual situation occurred on October 6 (Monday) in Indonesia. One of the hotels was visited by a leopard that was carelessly exploring the interior of the building. He walked around the guest rooms, reaching as far as the second floor. A quick response from the staff was necessary.

Leopard in the hotel

The incident was reported by AFP. It turned out that a wild cat had simply snuck into a tourist resort in Bandung. It is a city on the popular island of Java, which is considered extremely crowded and popular among visitors. Those who stayed there in one of the hotels had to face a lot of stress. A leopard walking slowly in public areas caused panic.

When the hotel managers noticed the uninvited guest, they notified the fire brigade, which contacted the local nature conservation agency. It was necessary to ensure the safety of the guests, but also to take care of the animal’s well-being. He was eventually given a sedative to take him away from the facility. Afterwards, the leopard regained consciousness.

The case is under investigation

Many people associated this case with the escape of a leopard from an Indonesian zoo that occurred a few months ago. The animal has not been found yet, and now there are suspicions that it may be the hotel’s individual. To check this, you will need to perform tests, and the whole process is expected to take some time.

The escaped leopard in question was said to have gone missing from a zoo just five kilometers away from the hotel in Bandung.

“The leopard is recovering and has already started growling. It will be taken to a wildlife conservation center for observation.” – said Agus Arianto, head of the nature conservation agency in West Java.

Similar incidents have occurred in Indonesia before, which has caused a lot of controversy there. The local zoological facilities are accused of lacking appropriate standards in animal care and exposing keepers to danger. For example, in 2021 in Singkawang, a 47-year-old zoo employee and several animals were found dead near a tiger cage. Wild cats escaped after heavy rains destroyed their pens.
