The tragic situation occurred on April 11 on the island of Moorea in French Polynesia. This overseas community of France includes as many as five archipelags and over 150 islands in the Pacific Ocean. Although most people spend their paradise vacation there and for many he ends happily, this was not the case with a 57-year-old Polish woman. She went out to the beach and then the attack began. The woman found a way out of the trap, but she failed to survive.

Polish tragedy on a paradise island

What exactly happened? The 57-year-old was walking on the Temae beach on the island of Moorea with her friend. There was no indication that something terrible would happen in a moment. Wild stray dogs, which were very aggressive, turned out to be a problem. The whole piece of animals was to run to women and start attacking them.

Polish women came up with the idea to enter the water and protect themselves from biting or burning there. It turned out that this idea exposed it to even greater danger. One was fine, the other drowned, because the sea was extremely agitated that day. The waves in the blink of an eye kidnapped a 57-year-old.

During this incident, there were other sunbathers on the spot who could see what had happened. Witnesses went to help and called rescuers. Although the woman was pulled out of the water, despite the resuscitation she failed to save.

At the moment it is known that a Polish woman orphaned two children who were on the island with her.

There will be an investigation on the island

The situation shook tourists and residents. Lokalsi began to comment on it, who pointed out that the problem with dogs on the island is very large and lasted for a long time. “Stranged dogs are a real problem here. I gave help to several clients who were bitten. Other customers also complained about the aggressive packs of dogs that attacked them,” commented Tamara Kinynis, the owner of one of the surrounding guesthouses.

Local services are investigating the case. They will carry out, among others autopsy to determine the final cause of the Polish die. It is not known if any actions will be initiated that will protect visitors against subsequent dog attacks. As it turns out, being in this place, you have to be particularly careful about them, and the paradise island is not only beautiful views and peace.
