The famous apartment in the Złota 44 skyscraper in Warsaw has been sold. The new owner is Turkish billionaire Fedlan Kilicaslan, but even Elon Musk asked about the property.
The famous apartment 504 in the Złota 44 skyscraper in Warsaw has found a new owner. Rafał Zaorski, the current owner of the luxury property, announced the sale as a “record transaction in Poland”. Even Elon Musk was mentioned among those interested in purchasing it, but ultimately the apartment ended up in the hands of Turkish billionaire Fedlan Kilicaslan, owner of FAF Global Company.
A record transaction and controversy surrounding the apartment
Rafał Zaorski, called the king of stock speculators, bought an apartment in Złota 44 in 2020 for PLN 23 million. The 480 m² property was the site of his ambitious “epic flip” project. The plan was to divide the apartment into 20,000. shares that were to be sold for PLN 5,000. PLN each. The value of all shares was to be PLN 100 million. However, this project aroused numerous controversies, especially among the residents of the skyscraper, which ultimately resulted in a sales ban entered into the land and mortgage register.
Despite the restrictions, Zaorski put the apartment up for sale for EUR 9 million, which is approximately PLN 38 million. The real estate agent, Michał Lech, assured that the housing community would consent to the transaction if the entire apartment was sold to one buyer. As Zaorski announced on social media, the sale was completed in October 2024.
Who is the new owner?
The new owner of the apartment is Turkish billionaire Fedlan Kilicaslan, owner of FAF Global Company, a company specializing in business process outsourcing.
His business career was repeatedly the subject of controversy in the Turkish media, which reported, among others: about suspicions of money laundering and other scandals.
Elon Musk and other interested parties
The sale of the apartment aroused great interest. Michał Lech revealed that potential buyers included billionaires from the Forbes list. The most sensational, however, was the call from Elon Musk, who was considering purchasing an apartment for his office. Unfortunately, the building regulations prohibit running a business, which made it impossible to implement this idea.
The Złota 44 apartment building, designed by Daniel Libeskind, is one of the most prestigious addresses in Poland. Apartment 504 was so far one of the most expensive in the country. For comparison, the previous record was held by a penthouse in Gdańsk, sold for PLN 25 million.
