Another fatal accident on the Danube
The second longest river of Europe after the Volga is not a direct witness and at the same time the cause of a deadly accident. Last spring, a tragedy took place near Budapest, where a small motor boat collided with a larger cruise ship.
In terms of the number of victims, the greatest disaster in the history of this river is, however, the accident of the Hableána ship, which took place in Budapest on May 29, 2019. As a result of the collision with a larger ship, the Hableány unit sank and 27 people died. The wreck of the ship was mined on June 11.
