A thick slip -up of Polish journalists. Magdalena Ogórek criticized for the reaction
On the occasion of the peak in Washington, a photo of European leaders went to the network. Despite the clear signs of falsehood, even journalists got on them.
The visit of Wołodymyr Zelnski and the European allies of Ukraine in the White House evoked a lot of emotions and comments. Some let themselves be carried away and did not think about when they received a false photo from the event, generated in reality by AI. It depicted politicians in a bad light, so it quickly gained popularity and spread on the web.
Politicians and journalists got on “FEJKA”
“The power of the European Union, dreaming of a centralized super paid state without US influence, in one photo,” wrote the most famous PiS youth activist Oskar Szafarowicz. “The comments section is for you” – the profile belonging to the Zero channel involved, publishing the same false photo.
“I do not hide. It entertains a bit like people began to paste a photo of AI with European leaders, where Macron has 4 legs, including two in high heels. Unfortunately, they disappear quickly, and they are quite funny” – mocked Bartłomiej Prescription. The problem, however, is that not everyone and not immediately decided to remove a clearly cheated photo.
– The source is good. (…) I will not count shoes – said Magdalena Ogórek from Television WPOLSCE24, where “FEJKA” was also shown. The host of the program former TVP journalist did not show not only vigilance, but also reliability after discovering the slip -up. “If the fake is funny,” she tried to convince the viewers.
What did European leaders do in the USA?
After talks with Vladimir Putin in Alaska, the time has come to visit Volodymyr Zelnski to Washington. It was the first meeting of Donald Trump with the President of Ukraine since a memorable quarrel in the White House, after which the talks were interrupted, and the delegation from Ukraine was sent back.
To avoid a replay from that scenario, this time Zelanski was accompanied by European leaders: French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz from Germany, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finland President Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer, Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte and chairman of the European Commission Ursuła Von Der Leyen.
Politicians from the Old Continent supported the Ukrainian president in a difficult task. They were also present in Washington due to the need for negotiations related to security guarantees for Ukraine. It was for the purchase of weapons from the USA for $ 90 billion, which is financed by Europeans.
